In a statement the label described her as hugely talented and a beautiful caring human who touched the lives of everyone who had the honour of working. The South African born producer became one of the first female artists to sign to Warp Records. Mira Calix returned in 2021 releasing her album Absent Origin winning across the board praise.

We are devastated to learn. Tributes have poured in for the talented star who passed away aged 52. After shifting to London she began to work at a doc retailer and took up organizing occasions and DJing.
